Hey Kindred Spirits!
Super excited to share this DIY with you today on the blog.
I don’t know about you, but I love wooden utensils, and the way they look in a white utensil holder in a bright kitchen… pinterest dreams right there. Am I alone in this? Probably.
Anyways, here is a cute way to personalize some fun wooden utensils. Keep them yourself, or give them as a gift… or both!
Here is what you are going to need (Only two things!):
Wood Burning Pen
-Maybe you know someone who has a wood burner, otherwise you can find a bunch of them on Amazon.
You can find these pretty much anywhere. I know World Market has some nice ones, I’m sure Target has some as well. And of course, so does Amazon.
To start, you may want to sketch out in pencil what you want your design to look like:
Next, once your burner is hot, you can begin to trace your design:
(Be extremely careful! That thing gets SUPER hot) Also, it is a bit tricky, so make sure to take your time, and have patience!
Cursive is a bit more difficult, and the shorter the words, the better! 🙂
It may take a bit to get used to it, and you may need to go over your design a couple times for it to be smooth and a nice dark color.
But, look how cute they turn out!!
